Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looks like a nice event.

I don't care for the filmmaking style.

My various C&V bike have 6, 7, or 8. But never 9. Funny, that.

One of the 7 speeds is actually a freewheel.

Well I liked it. In my early days of sex, everyone smoked weed. Maybe that's where I got the habit from. It's certainly better than alcohol breath.

That’s not counting the jacket my wife lost. To get anything else, I’d have to spend money and get rid of existing gear and I have no desire to do either.
Bibs; Verge, Castelli, Pearl Izumi, Specialized.

Jerseys include those and a few other brands I've accumulated.

I've had 8 speed in the past. With bar-end shifters.

I kind of want to put Ekar 13 speed on something, just to round things out.

So after a summer of very few Zwift rides, my "minimum category" for Zwift races had dropped back to D. I did a few races in D and did pretty well - always on the podium. Then I do a couple Tour de Zwift rides, and damned if I'm not back to C again. Farewell podium.

Most of my jerseys are hand me downs, the few bibs I have are either no name or cutaway. my jackets are pearl, castelli and rapha.

Honeslty for the price. Castelli stuff I like the most. You can always find it on sale and the quality is great.

They just need to update their sizing.

Average time spent at the grand canyon is something like 15-20 mins.

Bam’s average time in general is 15-20 seconds.

First day back to work, and my alarm didn’t go off.

New Iphone to me. 11. I have the sleep schedule set up, but I didn’t use that for the alarm, I set two other alarms.

Thank god my sleep schedule was set for 5:15 or I would have some explaining to do.

Simon is starting to smile, but it’s quick. I never have my camera ready. Looks like mrs. bam just missed it.

It’s rare that I can convince my cycling friends to do a relatively long ride in the winter, but somehow I was able to get them to agree to an 80 miler for today. It’s a destination ride to a really good donut shop in Kutztown.

I would like to think it’s my cycling persona that sealed the deal, but it’s more likely that it was the promise of epic donuts.

I found a hard shell travel case on CL so will go check it out after the ride.
