Coward, but yea, I do seem to see a pattern here.
And to squeezy's question, I did see a fellow with an old deep wire handlebar basket in which he had placed a blanket and his kitty toured with him everywhere. He said they did take frequent stops and he made sure that he kept her well hydrated but I thought it was unusual, seeing how I've never owned a cat that would have been that cooperative.

Take your army to the Haunted Forest and bring me that girl and her dog. Do what you want with the others, but I want her alive and unharmed. They'll give you no trouble, I promise you that. I've sent a little insect on ahead to take the fight out of 'em. Ha-ha-ha-ha. Take special care of those ruby slippers. I want those most of all. Now fly, fly!

If you can't contribute positively, don't say anything at all.

apocryphal sobriquet
I prefer companions who have an exoskeleton like the myriad of beetles and such who always tend to hitch a ride on my brightly-colored shirts. Although they make fine little friends I feel bad that, to them, it's a one-way trip...

I had a dog that would go with me faithfully back in the 90s. Simba was a rescue. I had a BOB trailer and he would run alongside the rail to trails and trot along side on the berm of the road and whenever a car was coming...he would jump on a wait til it passed. He also jumped on the back whenever I hit an uphill...yea, he was clever!
