1980s(?) Colnago Super

This one is listed near me. I[m guessing 1980s? Tho the 105 components seem at odds with that, right?

Anyway, what do you fine folks think about the bike and the price?

At $500 that looks like a great deal to me. 9-speed STI race machine that is going to stand up to anything modern for that price. Very tasteful resto-mod build on a classic frameset.

Typically the Superissimo gets the chrome headtube lugs. The Super gets painted lugs.

This looks like it was completely built frame up from miscellaneous parts. However, somewhat modernized may make it comfortable for you to ride.

I'm guessing that it was also repainted at the time of restoration with new decals.

The value of the frame, wheels, 9s shifters, etc, will easily exceed $575, whether you ride it as is, or swap it around a bit.

Thanks very much for the info. I'm undecided, but will report back if I do check it out.
