Looking for a 25.4>22.2 shim. A lot of threaded stem to threadless stem adapters came with the shim I need. Usually the adapter itself is 22.2 and thus a shim is included since lots of people use them on their MTBs with 1 1/8th steerers. I'd take a couple if people got them.

Also, it didn't used to have all that surface rest on it but it's sitting outside now. I was so excited because I've been hanging on to this thing for ages thinking hey somebody might need a French threaded freewheel.

If oneclick declines this I MIGHT have a need for one: I had a FR threaded hub with no FW at one time but recall I was making a complicated trade with a C&Ver that never got resolved, so have to use the old "time machine" and see where it wound up. I do know that member dropped off the team a long time ago!

Sort of, in that they were bought/merged - but their freewheels (can be) different; I just pulled apart a metric Atom 77 to check and it is completely different to the Maillard unit.

I took it off the hub and tried to clean up a bit of the surface rust but didn't have the patience to work on it too long. Maybe painting some ospho on it would do the trick? I've only used that on a boat project so I don't know. It's up for grabs -- so is the hub it came off of. Let me know if anyone needs it. The unit has a very nice action and spins very smoothly. The rust is from spending a particularly humid and wet Florida summer on the lanai.

In search of a new home for this item. Just doing a bit of pre-emptive work before the War Department starts up. A single wheel that appears to be original to a Surley fixed gear bike. As always cost of shipping and first to answer gets first dibs. PM Me. If wanted I have a single freewheel that will fit the flip flop side of the hub Smiles, MH Pics:

Complete wheel with axle nuts

Says Surley on hub

Deep V rims whatever they are

Comes with tire and tube
Well folks,
Krakhaus takes this stray in. Smiles, MH 11-7-21

@MadHonk

That's a Velocity Deep V, not sure these were original to the surly but probably a common replacement, pretty good stuff you could have them built up how you wanted, brake track, spokes and nipples. I had a set nonaero built up with black rims, machined brake track, chrome nipples and stainless spokes for under $300 shipped, sharp looking wheels to be sure that held up well in use, still have them with low use.

My wife would like a higher great ratio on her single speed so I'm looking for a 46t silver alloy chainring (110bcd). I have some stuff I can trade.

ISO a single clamp-on downtube shifter

Does anyone have a single (right-side) clamp-on downtube shifter they don't need? Doesn't need to be beautiful, just functional. The thumb shifter on my reconfigured winter bike works fine, but it takes up some handlebar space where I'd like to have the option of putting my hands.

Happy to trade something from my derailleur box or elsewhere in my modest (by BF standards) stash.

You are welcome! Did you check your email for the crankset and Bottom Bracket?

Jon, I found this somewhat ratty looking Simplex single-sided clamp in my stash (and most of the bits for the lever itself). It’s one of those made for being on the non-drive side, but it’ll work flipped over if you can live with the Simplex logo upside down. I’ve found it handy to tap these to M5 and give yourself a choice of many levers. Let me know if it’ll do.

Hi Jon,
I think that I have what you need. I believe that this one was made for the RHS; at one time I have a LHS clamp on which had a hole on the RHS to go around a brazed on RHS boss. Even includes the bolt!

Simplex derailleur clamp

https://www.ebay.com/itm/274904494153

This has been on eBay forever with no takers, so if you want it, disregard the price, and offer what you think is reasonable.

Neal, many thanks, but through the generosity of BF member eom, I already have what I need.

You are correct. I wish finding all this black ano stuff was easier. The Stumpjumper SC came with swanky black parts in 1984, ahead of the curve!

My ‘83 was just plain silver, so pretty easy to find. I thought biopace was in the latter half is the 80’s.

Revising my previous post: The 48t Biopace chainring I'm searching for is in fact not black, but this bronze/gunmetal gray color (as seen in this 50t ring listed on ebay).
