Humming in corners after changing rear derailleur

I recently killed the rear derailleur during a mountain trail ride and replaced with a short Altus one (changing over to a commuter). It shifts smooth but when I lean into corners there is a humming sound. Not sure if it is the derailleur or something else. Any suggestions?

Could the humming be the tire tread? Andy.

Perhaps the humming is you being happy with your new derailleur.

That could be it since they are MTB tires. Never really though about that since it didn't do it prior to the new derailleur.

After riding more and listening further it sounds more of a metal on metal rubbing sound. Still not sure what is causing it but I am hearing it more early in my rides and later in my rides it doesn't seem to happen as much as well. Guess I will need to do more investigating but any help is appreciated.
