Removing front wheel?

I have a Terra Trike here with a taco'd front wheel. Before I can replace it I need to figure out how to get the wheel off the axle. I have already removed the disc caliper and fixing bolt that screws into the axle. Any tips before I start to tap the hub off the axle with a mallet? I havent found any answers online

this is the closest I got to an answer but it seems like his wheel just slid right off the axle.
