How to carry tire sealant for longer rides on tubulars ?

Hi,

so i recently jumped on the tubular train, and i am paranoid of getting stuck out with a flat. I heard tyre sealant would be a good solution, hence my question:
How do you guys carry your spare tire sealant on your rides? (No, i am not talking about a 50 ml stans bottle as sold. That's not really economical, when i can get a 450mL for a fraction of the cost).
Do you have a syringe filled with sealant on the go? I'd appreciate pictures of your ingenious setups

P!

Maybe spring for one 2oz Stan's and refill as needed? Leak proof and measured. Don't let the possibility of sealant working discourage you from carrying your spare tubular.

Yea, i get that it's a seemingly minor expense, but i figured there might be cheaper alternatives out there. And yes, i do carry a spare tubular anyways.

I just ordered some 1 and 2 oz bottles from amazon that would work

I reccomend Caffee Latex over stans or orange seal.

you will get more response in the totally tubular section in c&v https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...y-tubular.html

Why are we talking about anything but the inflator/sealant combos like Vittoria Pit Stop or the stuff John posted?

Yes and yes. I have the big bottle of Orange Seal and bought a couple of the little Stan's bottles for both the ease of use and the toolbag portable bottle. (I'm guessing no one nor any tires will care if I mix the two; both being latex.) And I carry a spare. Steel tire iron to pry tires.

Why the Caffe Latex? I think this is the first time I've heard of it. I heard Orange Seal was good so I got the big bottle.

my personal experience using in clinchers with tubes it works better than Orange seal and seems to last longer. I used in my last set of tubies and had no flats in 500 miles or so before I sold the wheelset and tires

I too have been using the Mariposo Caffe Latex in my rear tubs, although I think their formula is not real latex. Still, I actually carry 2 spare sewups, one under the saddle and another in my pocket.

I discovered the Ortlieb toolbag (forget what it calls itself but the #2 version) neatly carries 2 spares + tools. Clips to a very secure clamp. I can move the bag from one tubular bike to another in seconds. (Ortleib waterproof.)
