Surly Trailer

Whatdja think? I'm seriously thinking of getting the Cross Check and building it up to include a trailer (if that's possible).
Should be here Spring 2011

Why on earth would you use a behemoth like that on a brevet?

to bring along a spare bike?

I have a Burley flatbed trailer that I use for utility tasks. As a grocery getter and urban errand runner it's fine, but it's not something that I'd take on a tour or an extended sojourn. For those applications, a single wheeled trailer like the BOB yak would be preferred.

I'll use that the next time I want to take my wife along on a brevet. In her recliner. And a cooler full of beer. And the dog.

is your intent to go on a tour with the trailer? I can move this thread over to the touring forum if so. The long distance forum is for riders that aren't sensible enough to stop for the night.
