Peugeot derailleur jockey wheels
I have a Peugeot bicycle that I picked up and while riding I noticed it was having trouble shifting. Upon closer examination I noticed that the jockey wheels were severely worn and need replacing. The bicycle looks like a U08, but might be another model--definitely 1970s. I am wondering if Simplex Brevete jockey wheels would fit.

These might work too. Shoot them an email to make sure. Velo Orange Sealed Bearing Jockey Wheels, 10 tooth (velo-orange.com) You'll need to know what model derailleur you have

You basically just have to match up the number of teeth, width to some degree but there is some fudge room and the size of the bolt holes to make a good fit in the jockey wheels. Shouldn't need to adjust anything if the derailleur works fine now. These come with a few different adapters but like I say, Velo Orange are pretty knowledgeable for fit so contact them.

Most pulleys have used either a M5 or M6 bolt, thus their bolt through holes can be different in diameter. Pulleys are also width speced. Most modern pulleys are thinner that the classic ones used in the 1970s (due to chain width mostly). So besides tooth count, the pulley's bolt hole diameter and the width are factors to consider. Unfortunately all these dimensions/specs are not always listed so like much of this industry the best advise is to try before buying. Or at least being able to compare in hand before installing. Andy
