PSA for FSA SLK carbon tandem crankset users.
We needed to replace the chainrings on our SLK tandem carbon crank ( which were extremely worn in a relatively short time).
Finding chainrings that fit was less than obvious. The crank is a 110 bcd 4 bolt asymmetric. However not all FSA 110 4 bolt asymmetric rings fit.
The answer is not on FSA’s website, took the customer service rep half a day to figure out, and is in fact counter intuitive.
I originally ordered FSA SLK 110 bcd asymmetric 4 bolt rings. They do not fit.
Ironically the rings that do fit are 110 bcd asymmetric 4 bolt gossamer rings. The reason I say this is ironic is FSA specifically says the Gossamer rings do not work with SLK cranks. However, the SLK tandem crank appears to work just in reverse: it requires Gossamer rings, and will not take SLK rings.

I believe there may be. The crank is a modular system, and the spider screws off rather easily with the right tool. So I think it was designed to work with different spiders. ( the spider on ours came off during a ride, so I now have the tool to tighten or remove the spider).
I don’t know this to be true, but I think it might work with direct mount chainrings that mount directly on the crank without a spider.
I do know that the 32 tooth 110bcd FSA gossamer rings don’t work. The bolt circle is right, and the rings fit on the crank, but the diameter of the bolt holes is too small for the spacers to fit.
