I checked my Jan results and found I dropped 9 lbs, thanks in part to the supportive folks in the Jan thread. So, hell yeah I'm in again for Feb. This month will be difficult for me. I'll be on a 3+ week overseas business trip starting Feb/9. Lots of meals with vendors plus hotel food. I'm going with a 1 lb per week weight loss goal, with a stretch goal of 2 lbs per week.

360 by end of Feb. I also want to do 40 miles without regretting it 3/4 of the way through.

Lets play, I lost 14lbs and rode 322 miles in the month of January, I am looking for at least a repeat performance.

Ok so in some ways this was a better month then January but in others not quite as good. Total miles rode for the month of February 380.7, however I have only lost 11lbs.

Weight update - 264 as of 2/28

I will continue to keep pedaling as I still have a long way to go.

See y'all at the finish line

MTD - 380.7
YTD - 703.4

That's awesome. It really helps when you aren't eating two different meals. I have a skinny wife and 3 skinny daughters and that all love things I must avoid. Thank goodness my wife still cooks my dinners in bulk for the week (turkey burgers, crock pot chicken for tacos, etc)

Any weight loss is my goal, I just started, and can't even do a mile yet without needing to rest twice. Currently weigh 445.

Hang in there, it gets easier and better. I have been back on the bike since late December. In the last couple weeks I am finding that I have to add distance to my weekday ride to make it 40+ minutes.

My goal for January was to loose 10 lbs. I went from 214.75 to 211.5 this Monday. So I lost 3.5 lbs. it's not what I wanted, but perhaps I should be satisfied with any loss. My goal for February is to loose the rest of the 10 I was to lose last month. I'll be happy with 204.00 on February 29. Hey. We get an extra day this month to lose!

Had my 6 month blood pressure check-up with the Doc on Tues. where she confirmed my vital signs and blood work are good, while my Cholesterol is excellent. At a minimum, adding a lot of fruit and veggies via smoothies appears to have significantly improved my Cholesterol numbers. Thanks Custom for the Vitamix endorsement!

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH! Plateau week! Just when everything was humming along. Haven't lost anything since Saturday. I may have to readjust my goal for the month to 15 pounds. My wife's new bike came in yesterday so I got it all setup on the trainer and let her get used to the SPD-SL and shifting of a road bike. I really hope she loves it as much as I do.

Don't fret the plateau too much. You've been doing great. As long as the battle plan is still intact you should soon see renewed losses. Hopefully your wife will join you on rides and make the effort more enjoyable.

I'll jump in on this... I'm pretty modest about the weight loss due to the winter months. But I'll shoot for 245 by the end of the month.

One of the reasons for my weight gain.... rolls; especially them Cinnamon Rolls right @jsigone
The fact that I have not been ridding isn't helping either.

After spending pretty much all of the last four weeks traveling, I'm effectively flat at 268.3 as of this morning. As I'm traveling much of the next two weeks, I'm going to set a not-too-hard goal of 264 by end of month. And I've got to get my butt back on the trainer for these few days I'm home.
