Looking for '77 Colnago Super (blue, size 57/58)

Hi. New to the forum. I am trying to find a bike to match as close as possible my old race bike: '77 Colnago Super, electric/deep blue, size "large" (56-58) with Super Record gruppo, Cinelli 1R stem/bars. I have checked ebay, vintagesteelbikes.com, italiansteelbikes.com and a few others.

Perhaps someone has one or has a lead. Open to frame or bike.

Thanks

I am not familiar with the term Super Record C. Maybe steel BB and pedal spindles?
Colnago offered two Blues, a light metallic and what has been often termed electric Blue, an intense Blue close to Gios Blue.

you might expand your search for a frame set the correct size and vintage and refinish to preference.

Some might appreciate the backstory: I was a junior racing in Belgium on this bike in 1978 and 1979. Went back in '80 as an amateur. Racing was intense, rain was relentless, got sick and sick of it. Sold the parts in Ghent and traveled Europe for 6 weeks on a Eurail pass. (Had barely left Belgium the prior seasons). Brought frame home and started "normal life". Somewhere along the line, frame was sold . . .(regrets now!)

Good advice as many sellers are now selling frames separate from parts as complete bike sale prices are down, even for the highly sought after models. These are wonderful riders and I really enjoy my Super which is a few years later and cm's bigger than your target.

I do but don't think a newbie can post photos. If there is a work around, happy to send or post . . .

Did see that one. Color is right, but lack of detail, price and condition made me move on. Not sure this person knows what they have . . .

that PA bike looks bigger?
the DC bike has ECO ? Pantographing… just does not fit my reference.

so, “ Electric Blue “ it is.
I ride a smaller bike, that Blue caught my eye in 1972. Terrific color.

Thanks. The PA bike looks interesting. It's still available. Anyone see anything to be concerned about? Right color and size, close on year, different gruppo . . .

If youre not in a hurry, buy an old bike ( they are really cheap right now $ )and join in on some rides,, a few of my current bicycles were bought from friends Ive met at those local rides . I have a friend with 3 Colnagos sitting in his garage that he's trying to sell ,, they are not your size though . Good Luck on your Colnago Quest .
