55cm Lotus Eclair touring bike - $SOLD - Duluth, MN
1987 Lotus Eclair touring bike in mostly original/refurbished condition. Has new consumables, including brake pads and *folding* 27 inch tires, and newly wrapped bars, along with new cables. Bike was recently tuned and rode great for the MS150. **** SOLD ****
The frame/fork have a nice patina, but look good from 5 feet away, and the color is complemented by the vintage Blackburn racks, bottle cages, and new PDW fenders. Frame is sound structurally, no dents or dings, just the usual beausage for a vintage touring bike.
Highlights include:
SunTour drive train, 3x6, friction shifting.
Suzue wheelset with Araya alloy rims
Original Lotus handlebars
Original Lotus brake levers, complete with white(ish) original hoods
Original headset, with plastic trim pieces
Brooks B17 saddle
This Lotus is a rare 80's touring bike that rides smoothly and has no trouble with a load. It's built to be reliable and simple, and to take you on adventures with minimal mechanical fuss.
