I'm Just back from the Velo Orange "garage sale"
I went to the VO garage sale this morning, even though it is a 1 3/4 hour drive from home. I missed the turn into the business park where they reside and had to circle a large block to get back to where I needed to be. I was fortunate to find a parking space - a car was pulling out of one as I arrived. The place was very busy, around 40 customers were picking through boxes of fenders, fender hardware, saddles, leather goods, rims, hubs, wheels, forks, etc. A few folks were test riding bikes in the parking lot, and there were frames for sale as well. Non-garage sale parts were also 20% off for the day.
I picked up a Model 3 leather touring saddle, 2 leather chain slap guards, 2 leather mud flaps, silver braided brake and derailleur cables and housings, and some hardware - all for under $50. All in all worth the trip, I'll probably go to the next one as well.

This is the first chance I have had to see some of the merchandise in person, and I was not disappointed. They have an efficient bare bones operation and good staff. The only complaint that I have with them is that their shipping costs seem to be a bit high on smaller orders.

Spent some money at the website and benefitted somewhat by the sale. Half the savings went to shipping which may have been recoverable as I spent near $200 but so it goes.

I spent just under 200$. 2 Bars, 3 saddles, 2 cranks, 2 pair reverse brake levers, Tektro levers, water bottle cage, chain guard, a stem, some cables, a few oddball odds and ends.

I took advantage of the 20% sale online to pick up some fenders. Alas, the $13 I saved went straight back into shipping. Oh well!
