Any Ben Serotta '90s models wizard around?
I have received a frame 2 weeks ago that shall be a Ben Serotta frame from the 90s. I am not sure, comparing the frame to pictures in the net didn't give me a total match.
I find some looking almost identical - but my has the 3 wire-guides on top of toptube - what ist quite unusual for the 90 models... maybe it's late '80s...
it has 130mm rear width, conical tubes, and when I am no Newbie anymore, I can give you visual details....
Rides like a charme, I completed it with a 6400 8x groupset. Couldn't use original fork, the shaft was shorted to match with a max 27mm stackheight headset.

You ought re-ask this in the regular classic and vintage forum. This one is for valuations and as a result has less traffic.

Go to the Paceline forum and ask. It's the old Serotta foruma and lot's of smart folks there. They also have a section with the catalog scans for all years.

Serotta Colorado TG, tig welded steel frame. The Paceline forum, formerly the Serotta forum, has several catalog scans from Serotta. The Colorado TG is pictured in the 1992 catalog, but with a steel fork - not an aluminum fork as the OP’s. Not sure how many years they were available, but I don’t believe they were that great of a seller, and they seem to go for a bit less than their lugged siblings on eBay these days.

Is it a Serotta? If, what model and what build is of my interest. What irritates me is the fact of the wireguides on top of the toptube.
What I know about the history of the frame is, that the son of the seller bought it once (early 2000s) after it was refurbished by a professional in Germany (Agresti). It got powder coated (what I personally don't like on classic frames).
I guess the previous owner bought it w/o fork and found himself a fork afterwards. I have this (red) steel fork, but shaft is shortened to a headset possible with max 27mm - due to I decided for a 6400 group I had, i needed 36mm and replaced the fork by one I had (shame, aluminium) for riding. Actually it looks not far from the one that came with the frame (which I also don't really know if original), just aluminium like a bit fatter ... I want to ride and this makes it possible. Btw - first testride after assembly was that fun that it took me on a >1 hour ride, I just wanted go around 1 or 2 blocks.

The fork is not the one I got with the frame, it's just a replacement to be able soon to ride, the other os too short shaft. So 1992 - 199x but a pro'lly short timerange?

There should be a serial number stamped on the bottom bracket.

I will try to read, but the powder-coating covers it up pretty well.
I was searchin the net picture wise "serotta '90s" and was finding almost 100% frames with wire thru toptube or on the side... that's why I thought that this fact was strange...
