Hi folks,

I need some help checking the right bearing spec on a set of DT Swiss 240s aero hubs. These are on ARC1400 wheels (62 front / 80 rear) that originally came with a 2019 Canyon Speedmax. The hubs are a ‘aero flange’ version that *may* be different to normal 240 straightpulls. I bought the wheels secondhand.

Does anyone know what the OEM bearing specifications are for these hubs?

Currently, the wheels have 6802 bearings in the front hub, the freehub, and the NDS rear hub (5 total). The DS bearing in the rear hub appears to be a 1526 although the inner diameter is 5mm (the marking is SC02T01LST). It seems odd to me that the DS bearing would be different to the NDS. Wondering if there’s been a bad swap at some point. (Although the NDS bearing seat ID on the hub measures 24mm so likely wouldn’t fit a 1526.)

It's not uncommon for the rear hub shell bearings to be different from each other, or different from the freehub ones. Do know that the OP has the definitive answer that makes no assumptions, one actual measurement is worth a thousand offers of advise. Andy

Thanks - yes, I did this. Unfortunately the website redirects messages to the local distribution agent, who has not been helpful. If no luck I’ll send it again using different countries.

Thanks Andy, good to know. I agree, actual measurements might be the solution here - failing any definitive guidance on the original spec, I’ll be measuring shells and current bearings and using what works! It will just give confidence if I can get the original specs as validation.

The numbers are standard.

I saw the 6802 bearing on Performance Bike and Jenson USA. A local bearing supply company would also have it can get them. Just ask for seals on both sides.

The other bearing seems odd. You might call Jenson

Hi - thanks for the reply. Yes, there’s no issue with sourcing replacement bearings like-for-like. My goal here is to check what the *original specification* was (to avoid repeating any errors that may have been made by the prior owner). Cheers!

Got it. Trek uses DT hubs. I think the Areoles Pros use the DT240. Take a look at the Pro 37 rear wheel. Trek does a good job of listing spare parts. In the service section is are the spec sheets. They show the Trek Part Number and the size. For rear shows 7mm ID. If this is not it check out other wheels and see which one matches.

Hi all - just providing the final answer for posterity.

The correct specs are indeed 6802 everywhere except driveside rear hub which is 15267.

This was confirmed by the local distribution agent looking up the spare part order options associated with the product code / serial number. I’d suggest that approach for anyone else having an obscure question like this.
