The thread that was closed (in the last day) seemed like a pretty reasonable and useful discussion..so far...at least compared to some threads that are allowed to continue.
Though I don't doubt the thread that was closed would have gone into orbit once people found it and the sides squared off...

Teach school for 5 minutes. You will quickly realize that you can't possibly make a list of every inappropriate or unacceptable behavior. You can identify the frequent issues, but the rest is just guidelines and common sense.

There is no "Official List of Banned Topics."
But here are some no-nos. This list is off the top of my head and is not complete.
Guns, abort-tion, ra-pe, drugs, mod bashing, promoting other forums, Covid, and Politics or Religion outside of the P+R forum.
Those topics are too "hot button" for a bicycle forum, inevitably lead to heated arguments, and create too much work for the non-paid, all volunteer, moderator staff.
