Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yes it is. I replaced the original a while back with great regrets. So far no asplosions- fingers crossed and knocking wood.

I think that the (FSA?) seatpost looks out of place, but it's very nice none-the-less. Are those tubes CF or is that paint?

They are carbon tubes. I agree about the seatpost (it is a FSA); I will either sand the paint off this one or get the newer matte black one with the revised graphics.

Yes, but I am not the first owner. So it was custom for someone else. I would have gone for a slacker seat tube angle but other than that the geometry is spot on.

That is a 32 mm setback seatpost on there. I have long femurs so I need a setback seatpost.

I disagree. It's just different. Still looks to be part of a thought out color scheme, even if it isn't.

Overall, the bike is borderline warm for me. But primarily because I'm biased against the lok of those cranks.

if you're clamping your saddle at the back, you don't need that much setback. you should be looking to clamp your saddle middle to front. you get a little deflection at the rear of the seat which contributes to comfort.

The saddle is actually clamped in the front 1/3 of the rails.

Congrats. It's a sweet bike.

I'd suggest a new post, maybe something black with little to no decals. I have that FSA setback post and the decals are too much, especially with how clean your bike looks.
