Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Colnago Serial Numbers

Where do I find them on my bikes? I looked on the drop outs and there are some numbers there but different ones on each drop out.

I have a 1980 Colnago cross bike with no numbers anywhere & know someone else with the same deal on an older model road frame so there may not be any serial #

That is a bit messed up. On my Master it is on the derailleur side drop out (only).

isn't that kind of dumb? What do you say to the cops when your bike is stolen? what should I do so that I can identify my bike...besides taking pictures? someone told me to put something in the seat tube with my info...anyone else heard of doing that?
