Thanks. I really liked the look of that bike. I had it and the Specialized at the same time though and it just wasn't as enjoyable to ride. Most of that was due to the huge difference in components between the two. Had it been a 63 instead of a 60 I would have likely kept it.

Those are all nice bikes, but that Bad Boy is pretty nifty.

Here is a more current picture of my M400.
Put some riser bars on it. (making it look more like the bad boy) and fenders since the last picture I posted.

Less than a tank of gas...........
I'm commuting with a $30 pawn shop Raleigh mountain bike. The seat was free, the rear rack was on clearance at Toys R Us for $1.60, and the groovy riser bars came off a discarded little girls bike. Total investment= $31.60.
More here.

Interesting. I did not know the Bad boy came in a full rigid. Looks to be the same frame as my M400 but has a little taller gears.
Here is a more current picture of my M400.

nice recumbent been wanting to test drive one of those seems like it would be nice. Though the local rei does not carry them and nor do some of the local bike shops out here. Certainly seems like they are in a niche market, though it seems it would be interesting.

I have posted this ride before but I have completed the commuter bike transformation as I just added waterproof panniers and fenders today to go along with everything else. The goal is to not need to drive in once a week to replenish supplies and also to be able to ride in wetter weather more easily.

It rides great! It's sooo much nicer than my old bike (the one that got me into commuting by bike). Right now I'm getting some pain from the saddle, but my understanding is that the leather saddles just take some time to break in and then they are great. The bike store that built it up for me was great, and I'd highly recommend them.

Very nice. I like the black path racer look.

what kind of internal hub is that? It looks like an SRAM iMOtion 9, the same that I have on my swobo.

Here's mine. I only just started commuting with it August 5, but I can already tell I will have many years of commuting on this bike ahead of me. It rides like a dream.
My previous bike was a single-speed cruiser which I would ride to the bus stop to go to and from work, but the ride was 2 miles and space on the bus rack was never guaranteed and I was too afraid to ride all the way to work.
I bought the Mariner with my economic stimulus check with the plan that if I was able to fold the bike I could take it on the bus even when the rack was full. Then I had the (probably irrational) fear that if the rack was full and the driver didn't let me take it on the bus I would be screwed, so I thought about just riding the bike the whole way to work (12 miles round-trip) and I could get some exercise as well. I have to credit bikeforums.net for giving me the courage to ride on the street even though sidewalk riding is allowed in my city (except in business districts, but there are none where I ride). I do struggle a little with the hills on my commute, but the hills keep getting easier every day.

My 7.5 FX daily commuter
Here is a picture of my daily commuter, have had it a little of over 3 months. I ride it 5 days a week and put 100 miles of commuting on to it each week.
So far and I have added the following and should be just about done:
Blackburn Headlight and 3.0 tail light
Planet Bike Super Flash
Bontrager Rack
Forte Campus pedals
Airzound Air Horn
SKS 45mm fenders
Flash Flag.

Grim, Did you shorten the hose to the Airzound? I like where you put the tank and I am considering doing the same thing.

Nope. I spiral wrapped it around the shifter cable till I got to the head tube and a loop on top of the frame. Wish it was black is my only complaint.
