$100 Masi!?

I've put my name in the hat, but judging by the fact that the add was view 40 times before me, there is a good chance it's gone... Someone is getting a good deal.

not positive that it's actually a Masi, but it's something late-'80s and Italian, and one hella great deal (maybe too good to be true) for somebody quick!
The brakes are some mid-grade Modolos...

Understood. I was thinking the same thing. But regardless, the campy bits are worth well over $100, so even if the frame is damaged, or gas pipe, it would still be worth it.

No idea. Someone got partway through a restoration, and then realized how much paint costs?

oooooh Campagnolo boxes. We love Campagnolo boxes. We'd sell our children for Campagnolo boxes. Here's the best of luck to a great score.

Just spoke with a nice older lady. I'm going to look at noon. I've got butterflys.

To the Masi experts, how will I know if it's real? Closest match seems to be a late 80's Nuovo Strada. I'm assuming the seat stays and crown should be panto'd? Where there M cut outs on late 80's masi BB's?

Unfortunately I know nothing about how to ID a Masi. But I do know that if I went and saw what's in the pictures, she'd have the cash and I'd be gone pronto. The rest can be sorted out later. Good luck.

Either that or "Mom, where's that bike I left in the basement?"

Like the day my little sister sold my SNES and thunderbirds island. Seriously, the wound is still there. Undressed.

I could go on about this, because I have two in the garage, but I won't.

Buy it. The components are worth the price of admission.

Take the frame along and figure it all out later. Try to be prompt and pleasant, and have the cash.

Crankset missing... you might want to prod her to look around and see if there is one more box in the basement. Help her look!

The Athena set looks like very late 80's to early 90's to me.

Good luck!

Wound? You wanna hear about a wound??? When my father enlisted in the Air Force and was sent to Germany in 1960, he left a 1949 aluminum bodied Jaguar XK120 in my great grandmother's garage. She got tired of it taking up so much room and she called the scrap yard to tow it away. I'm still feeling wounded that I'll never inherit it!!!

Maybe, could also be a Masi reject that was sold off to Euro-Asia and painted various ways later as the frames were imported raw. The fork crown "panto" is the general spotting guide.
In any case, the offer appears like a deal to me.
