Help with dating my Raleigh?
I went on Sheldon Brown's site to look for my ser# so I could try and figure out just what year my land fill Raleigh is. I couldn't find just where on the site that is located. Anyone have a link?

Go to Kurt's Headbadge website - look under resources. It is the best source for Raleigh stuff.

I'll have to get some pics this weekend. I took a pic earlier, but the forum says the pic is too large and I ain't the smartest guy when it comes to computers. I have no idea how to make it smaller. The problem with pics though, this thing is in pieces. I've taken the front fork off and everything apart. Maybe I can kind of piece things together so it looks like a bike, take a pic or two and hope it works. Maybe I can just take a pic or two of all the parts. I'll work on that tomorrow......

So, I threw the fron fork, tire and bars back on just for these pics. It may not look pretty, but it rolls, it shifts nicely and the brakes work. I'm thinking, I'm good. A little clean up, a bit of lube here and there, replace the rear tire and a cable or two and we are good to go. Oh, and a new "stud for pull-up bolt" for the front brake. The age of the bike isn't really all that important, just one of those nice to know things.
