Rode the trails along East River Road today. The Mississippi is swollen with the heavy rains we've had lately. You seldom see it this high.

Cool. I remember going to that fort when we went there on a family vacation when I was a kid. Thanks for the memories.

Rode the Root River Trail through the bluff country of SE Minnesota on Sunday. What a beautiful trail, and it goes through some very cool little towns. Unfortunately, I forgot to do a B-B shot on any of the main streets. I was too busy looking for the next tasty treat - everything from ice cream to lutefisk is on offer along this trail. I'll definitely be back...

Thought I would try the vertical, or "portrait" framing for these shots. It certainly is easier than including the handlebar in the horizontal frame.

A scenic MTB picture to balance out the deluge of mundane roadie/cruiser/hipster pics.

First ride of 2017; New Year's Day along the mighty Mississippi River. This leg of the trail takes you inland around some kind of industrial situation - smells pretty awful sometimes - like a fertilizer plant or something. Less snow than usual for this time of year. It was a great day to be out on the Peugeot:

Great photo! @bikecrate What mirror is that? It's exactly what I want for my touring bikes.

Somewhere on Crazy Guy On A Bike is an account of that very tour by a woman who lives in Minnesota. If you search for it on that web site you'll find it a good read.

Thanks, I think it is this one, or it may have been a knock off brand:
