Carleton, my floor pump just broke and I'm looking for a new one. What would you recommend I buy that would give me and easy 120 psi? My old one could barely handle 90, let alone 120.

Is that a personal shopping question?

Sort of. Just asking for a few that you would recommend, because I haven't the slightest idea where to begin looking, or whats worth looking at.

Silca is my fave. 16 years on mine. It's about due for another rubber, but they're still readily available at decent bike shops.

I've never had it above 120psi but I've heard of people going higher.

I'm not a personal shopper.

This is why bike shops exist. Walk in. Ask questions. Offer money. Leave with a good pump.

That was directed at 8bits, not you. Just came looking for a bit of advice on what you considered good and bad so I didn't end up with some ****ty pump like my last one.

And its spring break. This is the one week that I get to be lazy at all, and I'm damn well going to. Had way too much going on the past few months at school.

No hard feelings.

Go to a local shop and buy a Specialized pump. That's what I use.

Works for me. Might as well just wait until I get back to school anyway, because the guys at the local shop there are really awesome, and its not as far from campus as my lbs here at home. Thanks Carleton.

Less about me. More about other stuff. I'm not that interesting.

It was anodized silver.

Although I find you very interesting, here's one not about you:

C Man. You think a 50mile stroll is too much for a person who hasn't ever really done any long distance cycling? I'm talking speeds of 10-12mph. Sunday stroll type stuff.

Not tryna have her bonk on the anniversary date, you feel me?

Distance is waaay less of a factor than the terrain. I definitely wouldn't recommend so much elevation gain for someone who has little/no experience with grades, but that is my just my two cents.

Thanks for the input.
Hm. You're right... Why are there so many damn hills in SF? If it comes down to it, I'll take the walk of shame with her, lol.

Is 2k feet of climbing really that much? mind you its spread over 50 miles...?

How about a picnic? Girls like picnics.

Load up some backpacks, ride to a park, lay out a blanket, eat, talk, etc...
