Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

All in one ride today. Uh, if you use the stick trick to prop up your bike near water, make sure it isn't so near that your bike falls in when the stick fails.

Wife is from Italy, and has a lot of family still there. I told her the next time we go back I am stopping by the Wilier factory and buying something. She didn’t say no.

I live on an island so I'm never terribly far from water. Here's my bike on the way home from town on a couple of different rides.

Thanks! Pretty happy with it. I wanted the black version but they were sold out. The "portal blue" is nice though. It's a better bike than I am a rider but if I live long enough I'll grow into it. LOL

Lots of folks love the colour of our dirt and sandstone "rocks" here. I've lived here long enough that the colour is "normal" and when we travel off-island the grey dirt looks funny.

We have a couple of white-ish beaches - hopefully next year I will post pics from there.
