WTB Suntour VX front derailluer or equivalent

Looking for a cheapest version of the Suntour VX front derailluer. Or anything that has cable stop integrated in it, The original is worn razor thin and was bent all to heck. I messed around with it and it works for now, but it won't last long.

While I don't know all that much about bikes, this one seemed odd. This Univega "gran tourismo" has this triple crank on it, (as expected) but the front derailleur looks like a standard double. And even weirder, is that the bike has 700c wheels, with a 6 speed freewheel. The caliper brakes fit the wheels well. I though these were all 27" wheel bikes. Serial number is I(capitol i) 719802. There front derailleur needs a cable stop, and I am willing to use anything.

This is a rustbucket but other than the front derailluer, and the superficial body rust, it seems to be lightly ridden. Also, the student I am repairing it for, loves it.
if anyone has something for cheap, would really appreciate it. Ebay is $20 but am asking here for any that one might have that are too ugly for restoration use?
Thanks in advance for all comments and advice.
Photos for perusal.
Cheers,

Does that notch belong there???

you can buy them all day long on ebay Typically, you wont have a tube size issue. They run from wore out at $15 to near new $35

I have a Suntour 7 FD with a cable stop, $5 should cover postage.
The calipers only need 4mm more reach to switch from 27" to 700c wheels.

Thanks mate,
At this point I am trying to figure out if this is some kind of special Vx because of the triple crank. No info as yet. And yes, I was informed that someone must have changed the wheels.
Will get back to you
Cheers,

There is only version of the VX, nothing special for triple.

If you want alloy *and* a cable-stop *and* a triple cage then you want a Simplex SJ A103 - but if yours worked fine then a similar replacement should also.

If brian3069's SunTour 7 doesn't pan out LMK and I almost for sure will have one, Maybe not a VX (but maybe yes) or almost certainly another 7 like his.
Also free for the cost of shipping, if I'm correct.
