I have a friend who years ago was buying lots of new bikes and selling them after a short time to other club members for like half price. Money was not an issue for him but unfortunately for me he is not my size.

None. I don't get rid of any of my bikes unless I don't like them in the first place.

I think it was a 1980,s Team Dawes with Reynolds 500 chrome Molly steel frame? I could go for miles with ease on that bike. There's one on eBay now, if it wasn't so old I'd be very tempted.

Old steel Raleigh C-30. I bought it when money was tight and fixed it up. I had gotten to the point I had bought a couple of Surly's , and a friend's daughter needed a bike for college. So I gave it to her..
Ross Eurotour 5 speed and FFS same thing I had the Surly's and a neighbor needed a bike to get to work

My first "real" bike - a Centurion Super Elite.
Not for the parts - I probably changed everything on it 3-4 times in the years I owned it, and some of the original stuff wasn't all that great, especially the SR 52-40 crank. But the frame was double-butted Tange, and I did so many memorable rides on it. After accumulating a couple other bikes, I rebuilt it as a city bike and let my ex-girlfriend's sister use it in college. And one morning she went out of the dorm to see a cut lock and no bike.
In the early 1990s I was living in a 26' trailer and the bikes lived outside under a canopy. I was thinking of selling my Rans long-wheelbase recumbent as it was taking up so much porch space. I mentioned it to the owner of a local shop (Casey of Casey's Classics, in case anyone remembers the place) and he told me don't ever sell that bike as I would regret it. And also noted I probably wouldn't get much for it as the second-hand recumbent market has always been soft. Once I bought a house that has room for bikes, I'm glad I didn't get rid of the old Rans, and it turns 40 later this year.

One regret: 1989 Miyata 1400... but it had the infamous crack at the opening for the aero cable so it had to be put out to pasture
one I wished it would have fit, but happy it went do a good home 80 or so De Rosa....only bike my wife ever notices....something about the de rosa red, just to big

RCMoeur your comment about resale value got me remembering that the only good thing about COVID times for me was that I was able to sell, lickety-split, for $550 that Novara Big Buzz I posted about upthread and for which I paid $650, IIRC, new from REI in ‘05 or ‘06. That was unbelievable to me, and the guy who bought even said I was underpriced compared to what was in the market! I did include the Garmin Edge 500, speed and cadence sensors, a Lezyne taillight, a winter wheelset with Kenda Kwick K789 cyclocross knobbies, and the MonkeyLights wheel lights, so it was pretty hooked up for whatever. Still, $550 seemed really good for a well-used $700 bike sixteen years on…

On the other hand, I have 4 bikes now, so I may be on the cusp of becoming a hoarder.

My Trek 660. It was a wonderful Reynolds 531 framed, Campy equipped piece of steel greatness. It had perfect proportions of smoothness, stiffness, light weight, and quick handling. I have had other bikes have been stronger in any one of these attributes, but none which scored highly in all like my old Trek. These old Treks aren’t so hard to find out on the used market, and I am tempted to get another one.

In the mid-80"s I had a MAZA (no, not Masi) Prestige. I had Campy Athena friction shifters, Columbus TSX tubing and Campy clinchers. The paint was stunning. I loved it but had an 8 yr hiatus from cycling. When I got back into it I sold it to buy a more "modern" bike with indexed shifting. Selling it was a mistake.

Univega Alpina Pro. I haven't seen another one since I sold it away for some quick cash, and I definitely regret letting it go.

A high tensile, entry level Takara 960 Deluxe Touring that I rode in high school. Nothing particularly special about it. But I regret it because letting it go was the start of a long time away from cycling. Once in a blue moon I will come across one like it but people price Takaras like they high end road racing machines for some reason. I do have a 950 Deluxe 12 and a 970 Grand Touring that I picked up for decent prices though.

My 1974 Raleigh Super Course with Huret Jubilee derailleur. Beautiful bike but I wanted to sell it and get a new Gitane. I was in high school and working in a bike shop at the time and didn't have cash laying around to keep it and buy the new Gitane.

1996 GT Edge. I had many of the aluminum parts custom anodized a medium blue and added yellow tires/seat/tape to go with the decal's theme. Built a similar bike for my brother with a 1995 Edge frame at the same time to save $$$ on the anodizing. Sold the pair of bikes to a flipper when I was too busy with college to ride.
Please be gentle as Bike Forums wasn't around to teach me proper bike pic etiquette back then.

Bridgestone RB-1 and GT Shogun. Great bikes. I gave a the RB-1 to a young kid getting into cycling and crushed the GT when I drove under an ATM roof with the bike on the roof rack.

I had a Cannondale SuperSix HiMod that fit me like a glove, but I was looking for something new. I ended up selling it to a guy that was a sale manager at a car dealership, which later proved to be advantageous as it ended up saving me a boat load of money a new car for my wife. The bike I bought as a replacement I ended up hating, and got rid of it pretty quickly.

I regret none, and I absolutly miss all of them.
But I think I miss the special reason more than the bike. Yet its a combo of bike &reason
Examples, my Synapse for those long century rides on pavement. I don't do those rides now.
The biggest one I'll really miss is the 90s hybrid I built-up with modern components. But a nephew has it. Makes it more comforting. 😆

I was young and dumb and had disposable income and built an absolutely no-expense-spared 1993 Fat Chance Yo Eddy! in Team Violet (lavender pearl) in the early 90s. Bought the frame from Cycle Smithy in Chicago and spec'd every component out to build the perfect bike. It was. Raced NORBA XC for a few years in the midwest and loved every minute on that bike. At some point in the 90s I lost my job in a mass layoff and needed to part out the Yo to make the rent. It cut my heart out.
In the early 2000s I decided I wanted to find another to build up an old Fat again, so I started FatCogs.com in hopes of helping my search for the right size and color frame. Wouldn't you know it, my efforts built up the old Fat community again and costs for the frames skyrocketed and I never was able to find one. Wound up getting a Fat Chance tattoo instead and named my daughter Violet.
I guess you can never go back again.
Doug

Didn't technically "got rid of it", but by far the bike I most regret not having anymore is my Masi Presige, followed distantly by my DeRosa Primato and Razessa SLX. The bikes I most regret ever owning are a Vitus carbon and a Merckx SL.
