Shimano Jockey Wheel search
Doing some maintenance on my touring bike that has a Shimano 9sp. RD-M591. Cannot seem to find the correct jockey wheels. The Shimano site only seems to show this TD as a discontinued model.
So any Shimano gurus out there that might be able to help?
Thanks!

search: "Shimano rd 591 pulley set" on your favorite parts shopping source...
a number of options come up.
DIRECT matches found on Ebay.
part # Shimano Y5XH98120 is a great search on Ebay... multiple responses found... around $15 or under, shipped
(pssst, the RD-5700 pulleys are IDENTICAL to yours.)

I swapped out my stock 9 speed Dura Ace pulleys for Omni Racer alloy ones.

I have the same RD-M591 and put TACX pulleys when they wore out. They have cartridge bearing inside instead of bushings and it cost $11.

Is there any difference between these 8-speed wheels (below) and your 9-speed ones?

the bushing width is different.
i just measured an old LX Deore pulley and the M591 pulley... the 5-6-7-8 sp. is 2mm wider.
not a wise selection.
but thanks for making me dig around in my used der. bins.. that gloss black/chrome LX rear der. will be perfect for a pristine Trek 820 build i'm looking at!
