otherwise just look for pearl izumi stuff. they're not that expensive.

Nashbar Road Bike Aerobar

Don't know if these are any good, reviews say not bad but they're 57% off and with the coupon code EXTRA10 you get 10% off total order. Also, nashbar has 72% off 72 items for 72 hour sale up now too.

Nashville Aerobars are a steal for that price.

Compared to RB-021s, Aerobars have a little less drop, more room on the tops (comfier), and the same reach. The RB-021s are stiffer, but I don't notice a difference while I'm riding.

I prefer the Aerobars to my RB-021s.

EDIT: lolz @ "nashville"

Hmm...26mm clamp.

Would I die if I tried to run them on a 25.4mm stem (it has the pop-off faceplate thingy).

I don't want to die.

You've got it backward. His stem clamp is smaller than the bars.

Chances are, your clamp isn't a precise 25.4mm and those bars aren't a precise 26 anyway. You won't die.

Phew TheJauntyGent, Im glad they're not junk, it was a spur buy as I have drops already. You quelled my fears of getting a crappy bar! Can't wait to change it up.

The arm warmers aren't that great. They're just some electric blue tubes of lycra with Michelin printed on them. But they are free

The drop bars on my roadie are 38's, so I also wanted to get these Nashbar 'horns in 38, but I took the 40's on sale. No problem with the fitment -- it doesn't feel too wide.

alright. i gave in and bought it. 40cm..
well i'm worried coz i have narrow shoulders so i can do 36 / 38cm pretty comfortably. Which is why 40cm is on the wide side. But we'll see
for $13 (with the 10% extra) it's worth trying..

In my experience, wider is usually not too much to worry about; it's the other way around that you should look out for. Wider bars give you more leverage and more room to breathe(supposedly). If you don't like them, just throw them onto CL or eBay.

^^^
i thought it's suppose to be shoulder width? And more leverage makes more sense on mtbs. Anywhooo, we'll see how it works out

on another note,
Vredestine Fortezza tires are on sale at Ben's, 33% off @ $29.99
i love these tires..

EDIT: bah!! they sold out! i was 5min too late!

I meant a little wider isn't going to hurt.

You want the extra leverage when you're climbing/sprinting out of saddle, it'll help a heap.

I'm willing to sell my Rb-021's for $30 shipped if anyone wants them. They have some bar tape on them, but it was just leftover scrap tape that isn't wrapped evenly. I can take it off or leave it on.

Anyone interested in cheap RB-021s should keep an eye on wheel & sprockets ebay shop. I think it's been twice now they've had them on sale for $24.99 free shipping.
