be forewarned, it's flying insect season. time for whatever precautions you prefer. was interesting to see this section. thought for sure it would be flooded, but nope. on the left side of the photo, you can see the logs ppl have used to cross this area, during high tide, haha

Some of the trails are flooded and impassable by foot, unless you have wateproof shoes, waders, or willing to get your feet wet. I opted for dry feet. Did see a couple of cyclists going through, not quite up to the hubs, probably 3/4 of the way there.

thanks for the warning! last time I had my MTB serviced, the BB in fact, the tech said "does this bike see a lot of water?". I guess any weep/drain hole, doesn't really work well. the BB is lower than the wheel hubs. don't mind a little water but rather not cause more trouble than it's worth

went to take a peak myself, yesterday. don't remember it ever being this flooded. got turned around more than twice. not a bad problem on a bike
can't recall this foot bridge ever being moved by water
only on rare occasions do I ride thru Otter Alley. & yesterday, that was a NOPE

Yikes! Friday’s storm was enough to force a bit of water into the basement but it wasn’t too bad. I know a lot of places got hit hard and apparently the Trail got a good whacking.

I went kayaking on the Concord River north of the North Bridge and it's really fast-flowing and flooded the woods. Lots of water everywhere!

Woo, you got further than I did on foot, I just walked up to where that flooding started and scared off the frogs. BTW, totally forgot, there were two very active beavers on the pond north of Taylor Road, right past the Otter Alley split.

I think I heard a beaver one night, one winter. sounded like Sasquatch throwing a boulder into the water. freaked me out

side note: we've been worried about our sun canoe camping on the Allagash in Northern Maine. it's been about a week w/ no word form him. hoping to hear from him tonight or tomorrow, the latest. been monitoring the water levels (via regional online automated tools) & they go up & down by 2 feet in the blink of any eye. I think he's gonna need a vacation after this trip eek!

was thinking about it this morning while driving to work. every now & then a car gets stuck on a road out there. I'm always like: "how the heck did they get in there". they're fine so long as they go back out the way they got in, where ever that is ...
it's right down the street from me so it's an easy escape w/o any or much driving. often because I keep my MTB tires soft, I use the rack & car to get there, even tho I can ride there. for some strange reason, I like riding there in snow storms, at night. must have a set screw loose somewhere ;-)
