You probably won't get any play-by-play though. Just video and some background noise from the vehicles.

I am so happy about this!!! We get 8 channels with our digital box (no cable), three are in Spanish and one is Universal. Yes!!!

There are different RAI channels for outside Italy. I'm not sure the North American one will show the Giro.

In past years they had Milano-San Remo too, but it wasn't shown this year either.

This will be cool as I have my computer hooked up to play on my plasma tv. Anyone else having trouble viewing the videos? I have downloaded and run all the appropriate items required by the universal sports website and still can't get any video to play. On screen I get audio but no video. When I download into real player I get both audio and video. I'm running Windows Vista 64 bit and Firefox.

Universal will broadcast the Giro live everyday online without commentary. Then it will broadcast each stage on its cable channel at noon EST with commentary from Todd Gogulski and Steve Schlanger. Scott Ogle will be on the ground for Universal in Italy. The TV coverage will then repeat from 9-11 p.m. and 11 p.m.-1 a.m. EST.
