Need Help IDing this Offroad Brand Bike

This one is a puzzler, a vintage Offroad hybrid Bike? Mountain LX components, 700c wheels, Tange Infinity Mtb Tubing. Decal w/ the model has name deteriorated. Pics are from the seller.

Off Road is a Canadian brand that had some decent bikes. I had an mtb with the same Tange Infinity tubing and a rebranded "Off Road" Girvin Flex Stem.

I've heard of the Offroad Toad, but did they make hybrids?

I believe that you are mixing two different but similar brands. The Canadian brand was Off-Road Toad, the house brand of Mountain & Beach Specialties in Vancouver. One was on my short list in 1988. This Offroad is the brand of K&G Engineering of Flexstem fame. They were located in Rhode Island and would become Girvin for the 1991 model year.

The subject Offroad Climber was an early hybrid. This one should be from 1989. Original MSRP was $589.95 US. The serial number should corroborate the model year and may reveal the identity of the manufacturer.
