My First Post!!!! I'm so excited to be a part of this forum now!!!

Two words....John...Denver

I haven't done a lot of touring yet (I'll be asking a lot of favors soon) but when I do ride up in the mountains on a day trip...It's Rocky Mountain High & Country Roads all day long.

Very toxic, all ABBA songs are removed from my player before a trip just for this reason.

1. Fly Away: Lenny K
2. Free: (Soup Dragons cover of a Rollings Stones song)
3. Super Styling: Groove Armada
4. Fat Bottom Girls -> Bicycle: Queen Medley

I don't use an iPod or other music player on tour other than maybe for audio books. That said music does play in my head. I have little control over what the selections might be. Sometimes I sing out loud others not.

I'm not much of a country music fan, but it's not uncommon for me to be singing along to Willie Nelson's version of On The Road Again. Katie's version was new to me (and I just purchased it).

Check your local public library to see if they have a CD collection. I have 10,000 songs on my iPod. Few paid for, most free. Easy way to quickly get a big collection and wide range.

If you get near the Great Lakes in US and Canada, you have to include Gordon Lightfoots "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald".
