Rack, SKS fenders, and disc brakes
I've been riding my Liberty FB to work for a couple of years, and recently decided to add SKS Longboard fenders. I took the rack off to make installing the rear fender easier, only to realize after installing the fender that the rack won't fit over the spacer for the disc brake caliper. I've already cut the rear fender stays to fit, so now I'm stuck. The rack is a Topeak Super Tourist for disc brakes, and has clearance built into the rack for the brake caliper.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking that my cheapest option would be to see if SKS sells spare fender stays, and possibly bend 1 side to get over the caliper.

SKS fender stay kits are widely available from sources such as Niagara, Ebay, Amazon, and many other.

Is this the bike you have?
I would mount the fender to the top bolt of your disc and not to the hole underneath the disc caliper and leave the drive-side alone.

I had no idea until I searched for it on Amazon. I was hoping. It looked like SKS did on their web site, but that page was in German, and for whatever reason Google wouldn't translate it.

Or use the spacer the fenders came with and space the strut out away from the caliper. Use the standard fender threaded hole in the dropout.

My utility bike has a rack, fenders and disc brakes. On the rear, the fender/rack mounts are up above the caliper so no problems there.
On the front, I had to use a combination of spacers and bending the stay in a somewhat odd way to make the left side stay fit, without touching the brake caliper (mechanical with moving torque arm to actuate the pads). But it wasn't terribly difficult to get everything mounted up.

Actually I said wrong above. My rear rack/fender mounts are above the dropouts, not above the disc calipers. I do use the Topeak Disc Explorer rack to ensure that it clears everything. My fender stays are mounted on the same bolts (only one set in back) as the rack, in between the frame and the rack leg base.

no sense of the flexibility of the material? it happens when you have no mechanical back ground, take the bike to a Bike Shop , let them see the project.
Obviously I cannot.
Turn the job over.. pay em a few bux..
