How to diagnose/troubleshoot/fix Favero Assioma Duo PM?

With the Favero Assioma Duo PM pedals, it's the left pedal that does all the communications with the app and the headset. If the left pedal stops working, the system is 100% non-functional.

And my left pedal seems to have died. It doesn't communicate, the lights don't come on, etc. When the USB charging magnetic clamp is attached....nothing. The problem is not with the charging clamp b/c the same clamp connects fine to the other pedal. I've examined the electrical contacts on the left pedal that should help it connect to the clamp, and they look clean and otherwise OK.

Apart from contacting FA customer service (which I've done), does anybody know anything else that can be done to diagnose or troubleshoot? The manual doesn't seem to have much relevant information.

Pedals are 3 years old.

And wouldn't you know it, my HRM strap just broke (metal snap detached from strap). Easy to replace, but I'm going to be riding with less data for a little while. That's probably good for me.

If you do a Bluetooth scan can you see the right pedal?

If you can see the right pedal my app may be able to use that pedal and give you power information. I would be glad to have you try it. You need an Android phone to run the app.

PM me or contact me on my website.

Thanks. I do have an Android phone. I may try this - particularly if the left pedal isn't revivable or takes a while for replacement parts, etc.
