1980's Serotta Club Special

I am selling a 1980's Serotta Club Special. Located in Brookfield Wisconsin, Priced at $800.00. I purchased this bike in the late 80's from someone who said they raced the bike. The bike has been stored indoors the whole time I have owned it. I rode it when I was younger, but don't anymore. I replaced the tubes/tires, brake pads, seat (have original), and re-wrapped the handle bars. The bike is in original condition other than that. It has one dent in the tube, and a multitude of scrapes (not pristine).

I am sorry my mistake.
The price is $1,000.00, and the location is Brookfield Wisconsin.

Thanks for the update. You might consider posting in the Vintage section also - or at least a link.
I know SEROTTA is a really good brand - excellent bikes. But the price seems high to me. Maybe if pristine with a matching group $1k would be a good price. I'm not sure. I'm eye balling a Lotus in the C&V sectioin, and it's about half price from your SEROTTA.

Lotus is nowhere near the quality of a Serotta. That bike with those components is easily worth the asking price. Frame is a bit scratched, and it was raced, so I would check alignment. I have a 1979 Club Special. All Campagnolo, orig paint, no scratches, I would be asking $1700.
My $.02

Surfer77 is exactly right. I'd take a Serotta over Lotus any day. Price seems more than fair. Someone will get a nice bike.

Serotta is top notch, I agree. Have a Legend Ti myself. Lotus is a fine machine, more comparable to Centurion, but not in the same league as Serotta , esp. where value is concerned. I wouldn't be surprised if someone paid the O. P.'s asking price, but condition and components matter, so time will tell.

In all honesty, this forum might not be the best place to market certain things.. it's rather 'sleepy' around here.
