I agree. I mocked up the 32h CXP22s on my '89 CR and they don't match as well as the 28h Open Pro CDs that are usually on it. The stickers on the CXP22s that I have are larger than yours, but I'll wait to see how they look on the '88.

I prefer the ride of the Neutrons.
I suppose it would depend on the road surface. I'm riding on very smooth, newer blacktop for the most part. I 'felt' as though the Eurus were stiffer, and that wasn't a bad thing where I ride. I think the Neutrons/Nucleons are a bit more 'resilient'. I wonder if Campy had a chart for the older wheels llike they do for the new ones that show the trade offs.

Somewhere I saw an independent test and eurus wheels were among the stiffest wheels in the very large group.

Doesn't surprise me guys.

I always look for the reviews that pertain to older, well fed riders such as me.

In the end, they are all very nice. My Eurus wheels are on my buddies' Supercorsa and he stole them from me. Bugs me that he's quicker.....

I have a Cannondale Cad3 Silk Road with Mavic CXP 10 in front and CXP 14 in the rear with Shimano Ultegra hubs:

Your bikes look great with the modern wheels, too! Mike

My winter project started with a frameset (Cannondale Criterium series, Litage Fx fork) and Vuelta Corsa Lite wheels. In it's raw form:

Those are two of my favorite three rims WRT strength, the third is the CXP12, for distance riding. I had a set of CXP12 rims built with Shimano 6400 hubs on my '96's 600 rebuild and kept them when I converted to a 105 triple distance bike. The '96's OEM RSX/CXP10s are still in great shape on my daughter's '90 Volpe in spite of some CX duty.

OldsCOOL, When I was planning the '88's build the Vueltas were on the "Dark Rim" list. Ultimately I changed the frame set's color to white and decided to go "bright". I think they'll really fit in for your project.
