Anybody know about "WM Sampson"?
Got this frame at the Westminster, MD swap meet in a "Tub o' Frames" (literally there was a plastic tub of frames for sale...tub not included). Seems interesting but I can't find much (anything?) about it. Check out the pictures and thanks for any knowledge.

He began offering frames from a workshop in San Jose, California.
This looks to be an early one.
Lugset is part of BOCAMA Professionelles Luxe serie.
There is some background information in this forum post -

Willam Sampson frames have no connection to the frames sold as Sampson Sports. The Sampson Sports brand was founded by Eric Sampson of Colorado and is in operation today.

Thanks, everyone. So small custom builder in California in the 1970s/80s. I'm sure I'll build it up sooner or later.
For posterity, the frame weighed in at 2109 grams as pictured.

A little
He built a lugged frame for me in 1976 and I'm still riding it. He was in NorCal IIRC and I don't think he has been building for many years, but I've been Wrong On The Internet before. You have a quality frame there, make sure it's aligned and get some fresh Imron on it.

I'd just clean and wax: preserve the "patina".
But where oh where did the fork go? Good luck finding anything original. maybe you can get a "reasonable facsimile" to match against a photo?
