Surly Cross Check
So - Surly cancelled the Cross Check, the last rim brake offering from Surly, and kind of an end to an era.
I don’t know why they could not at least offer a frame only on the Cross Check, as someone else put it, it was the ultimate “parts-bin” build bike.

Unfortunate but understandable. I bought and built up a cross check last year and its been great. From what I understood from the shop I bought it from, the frame was considered vintage and it was one of the last they had in stock. Rivendell still has their whole fleet on Rim brakes though! I think the niche of customers that prefer rim brakes will suffice enough to keep Rivendell in business for a long time.
