Anybody have problems with Sugino 75 bottom brackets getting loose prematurely?

Anybody have problems with Sugino 75 bottom brackets getting loose prematurely?
The cartridge version. I recently installed one and only went on a few 10-ish mile commutes before it got loose and started knocking. Sure, I backpedal and skid a lot, but my other BBs still went a long time before coming loose.
I checked the torque specs on the Sugino site; it's just like any other square taper BB. Not sure what gives. I've since re-installed it and am hoping for the best.
Also, I notice there's a very tiny bit of play in the bearings. It that normal? At least it spins nicely LOL Hope I didn't get a dud.

If you don't skid your tidy whities don't skid your bike.
In terms of loose bottom brackets, it really shouldn't happen and shouldn't really have play but with a lot of abuse that can happen. On the track one would never really need to uncontrollably slow down by locking up their knees and rear wheel leaving skid marks and Sugino 75 is designed for track racing. If you are on the road brakes exist for a good reason and will help end premature wear and damage of parts and will also save your knees and your tidy whiteys . I would agree with TugaDude and have a good mechanic take a look at it as that is not generally common. It could be a bad B.B. it could be installation issues or it could genuinely be use and abuse.

When you say "coming loose" do you mean the bearings or the crank bolts?

1) I'm a Tech/Wheelbuilder at a bike shop. I've probably installed 1000s of BBs. My coworkers are "roadies" and MTBers and pretty much poo poo my bike/component choices, so they're not much help.
2) The BB had a thick layer of hard, dried up, white thread locker on it which might have caused me to think it was sufficiently tightened when that wasn't the case.
3) I purchased the BB from Blue Lug during the thick of the Pandemic when these were sold out everywhere else. The price seemed cheap compared to US standards, which kinda made me suspect it was some sort of "factory second."
Anyway, I'll have to wait and see what happens this time around. It would be good if I can find some track-oriented mechs to consult with.
