WTB some Shimano 600 Tricolor parts.

I am rebuilding a Schwinn Prologue with Shimano 600 Tricolor group.
I am interested in a uniglide cassette CS-6400, 14-28T, in very good condition.
I have now a 12-21T, I can trade, if necessary.
Also the chain CN-6400 or something similar new.
Also some white or tan hoods for the BL-6402 levers, new or VGC.
Please let me know if you have, or a idea where I can buy these.
Thanks

7 or 8 speed? Is your freehub one of the UG/HG transition hubs that can accept either? If you're trying to go UG for aesthetic reasons, I get it. Otherwise, if you're able/willing to go HG, you have more options

You probably know this already, but for historical purposes: you’ll be able to tell if it’s UG because one of the splines is skinnier than the rest and it will have threads inside the freehub.

It is a UG.
Probably a 14-28 is hard to find and pricey..
What's the solution?
Another set if wheels?

Does it have to be 14-28?

Here's a 12-28: https://www.rei.com/product/202340/m...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

That one looks to be compatible with hyperglide Shimano cassette.

Either a different hub or you can use a uniglide lockring to secure a hyperglide cassette onto a uniglide freehub. You'll also have to file one of the splines on the hyperglide cassette to match the uniglide hub.

+1

There's this 14-28 7-speed cassette from ebay for cheap. Then you have to find a 14t lockring sprocket. Either 7s or 8s will work for you.

Is this 14t sprocket the right one?

Disassemble cassette, file each sprocket’s wide spline so it’s as narrow as the others (it widens the narrow gap) and they will then fit on your UG freehub. They are almost always marked by an arrow. Use the 14t threaded sprocket to lock it on. It takes some work, but it gets you what you need.

The arrow indicates the part needing filing:

so I found on a old wheel a 6 speed cassette.
15-18-21-25-30 with a locking 13.
How should I build one from both?
