88 DB Ascent Ex Spec
I recently acquired a Diamondback Ascent Ex frame that I believe to have been built in 1988, cannot yet confirm 100%. Tried emailing Diamondback customer support, they have not been very supportive. I've scoured the internet, the forums, etc. and yet I can't find a spec sheet for the 88 Ascent Ex's. Would anyone here be able to help?

IIRC, my wife's (89?) Ascent EX was mostly Mountain LX. As noted, if you upload a few pics and reply with the serial number, you can get everything you want.

You're correct. The 1989 version of the Ascent EX used Mountain LX components. However, the most notable changes over 1988 were the introduction of striaght fork blades and the return to cantilever rear brakes.

Photos have been uploaded, thank you for wanting to help. I can't find anyone who has these decals either. I'd like to give it a new paint job

This bicycle was orignally spec'd with Shimano Exage Mountain components (derailleurs, thumb shifters, hubs, crankset, and brakes). The rims were an unspecified Weinmann model, while the Tyres were Tioga Farmer John. The pedals and seat post were unspecified SR models. The bar and stem were sourced from Kusuki, with no models listed. The saddle was a Vetta City/Country.
Sorry, I'm not aware of a source for replacement decals.
