Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nice. My wife's best friend says the same thing, and it's been about two years.

I'd be more interested in seeing a picture of you riding in the drops:-)

you caught me, it's all show and no go

from last racing season:

tailgunning

same race, hands (not) in the drops

different race, hands (still not) in the drops

another race, by now I had forgotten how to ride in the drops.

See! Just as I suspected. Three quarters of the time you're riding around bolt upright unable to even grasp the tops. Good to see you're reasonably practiced at riding no handed though.

i didn't just jump into that position. It took over a year of riding and daily stretching/foam-rolling. I still stretch at least an hour a day along with the roller if I'm sore/tired. Only bad thing is any time I ride a taller bike I feel like I'm driving a bus.

not the greatest photo as it came from my BB. Just took a quick picture with the new tires on before I mount it on the trainer.
