I thought this would involve filling tires to more than 60 psi.

I only fill my tires 80 lbs over that, so not a lot.

My nightmares are usually about getting arrested for wearing cycling socks that are too high, and being sentenced by the judge to 10 years of community service as a bike forum moderator.

Presumably I wanted all-new parts. I asked them to "do it right," no matter the expense, suggesting they didn't do it right the last time.

When I went to pick it up, I was handed the bill: $36,000. Not itemized, so I'm not sure what I got for that amount, but I did notice that they did wrap the bars with dual rolls of tape in a red-and-white pattern. I wrote the check without question--sounds like something stupid I'd do. The wife was NOT happy, and told me to just have them re-do the bike as it was, and get my money back. The shop was NOT happy. Then they explained to me that they had already sold off all my old components. Then I wasn't happy.

Woke up in a cold sweat. I have an active dream life.
Yeah, but were you naked?

If your mind is over-active during the night when sleeping, it is because it is over-active during the day when awake. Whatever emotions you can not control during waking hours will continue while sleeping. If you are interested in sleeping more peacefully then you have to live more peacefully during the day. Having nightmares that are bicycle themed does not mean that cycling causes you anxiety during the day, but it could be anything. Actually your anxiety seems to be about having a hard time pleasing your wife or maybe others in your waking life. Good luck.

You don’t give up do you? At least I have a wife! LOL! (That means I'm "Laughing Out Loud.")

You do realize that studies have shown that if people don’t dream, they go insane? Which may explain how you got the way you are.
