Just found this photo!

This does bring back some memories, except that my two kids were in their plastic bike carriers. My daughter would always slap me on the back and yell "faster" daddy!

That's not me on the bike but just a photo that I had found online and saved. So, to answer the question....... no, I don't have the bike. The photo just reminded me of when I would take my two children, out on my bike, for a ride around the town.

Is it just me, or do those cranks look a few degrees out of phase?

Looks to me that the front is flatted and the kid is just at the point of being launched over his dad.

FrederickH, I still have the side stand mounted on my old Raleigh as a reminder of those days... It was my third hand when belting the kiddos into the bicycle child seat. Oh yeah, there's still remnants of the masking tape on the seat stays to protect them from the child seat's clamps (if I try to remove the rest I fear paint will also be removed).

The child seat has long since been donated to another family (and hopefully then again passed on), but with todays overprotective attitude using one might provoke a report to Child Protective Services.

You remind me of when my 2 year old son would refuse to sleep so I would put him in a kid seat on the rear of my Sears road bike and take a spin around the neighborhood. He would be sound asleep after about a half mile. In retrospect the kiddie seat I had was totally unsafe. I can't even remember if it had a strap to keep the kid in the thing. Neither of us wore helmets but it was 1979.
