My new SS - Specialized Tricross Singlecross

I just got my first S/S bike today (my wife surprised me with it after I'd been drooling over S/S bikes for a while now). I switched out the tires with some Gatorskins (28c). I wanted to get a heavy duty single speed because I am a bit hard on wheels, cranks, etc. Here it is:

(I don't have a garage door, so I went for the kitchen shot with a camera phone)

Edit: In case you were wondering, it is a 2008 model from my LBS.

Edit: It is a 61cm.

That's a nice freakin' bike. Does it have road levers and cross levers? I can't tell from the photo.

from the factory? sweet! I was looking at a Langster, but that Tricross deserves serious consideration.

p.s. your wife seems like a keeper.

Excellent bike. Remembering it for when I may want to get a "serious" SS....... cool!

It is a 61cm. I am about 6'3" on a good day. The top tube is actually a bit shorter than on my 60cm road bike.

Good to know, I'm tall like you.

In comparison to your road bike, do you mean the top tube is shorter as in height (standover?) or shorter in length from the seat tube to the headstock?

do you get any toe overlap?

I meant shorter in length from the seat tube to the headset. As far as toe overlap, there seems to be a decent amount of clearance. I plan on swapping out the pedals at some point however.

I rode the bike about 16 or so miles today and it felt absolutely solid. The v-brakes aren't toed in quite right so they squeal like crazy. Outside of that, I have no real complaints.
