I have about 15 nicer road bikes vintage from peugeot to miyata schwinn, univega etc..

Just chatted with the guy, seems really nice and definitely knows what he has. The road bikes that he has are all on the big side though.

Didn't ask because it's not my thing but he's no idiot. It's up there for sure.

If you see something you like I can facilitate as I'm in the area but I don't do my own shipping. He could probably just as easily take it to a bike shop.

according to Sheldon Brown,

"The Paramount was developed for track and road racing by Emil Wastyn, a 6 day racing frame builder, mechanic and Schwinn dealer in Chicago, who immigrated from Belgium.
This was a no expense spared project of Frank W. Schwinn who wanted the bike to be introduced in 1938.:

So, that Paramount isn't going to be from 1915 as the seller states.

I'd never heard of this bike before, but it sure seems cool. Didn't see any on ebay or other CLs, so I don't know if this is a fair price or not. The seller didn't post any original pictures either...

If anyone would like a facilitation, let me know.

1986 Bridgestone Grandtech GR-27 Folding 7 speed Bike.

This bike would be a 9 out of 10! Everything is in great shape. This bike only weighs 26lbs. Perfect to put in your car, RV, 5th wheel, etc. I have never seen another one of these.

I'm not local, but my parents are. If you can get pics from seller, work out a deal, they could take possession and I could ship bike to you when I visit folks at Thanksgiving (I wouldn't ask them to do it, and they really know nothing about classic/vintage bikes, so no help in the evaluation dept. either).

Dutch Country/City Cruiser - $250 (Longmont, CO)

I could help out on this....but you never know, I might end up liking it.

Sparta Somerset purchased in Holland, front and rear drum brakes, five speed internal "Sachs" hub, cuff style lock rear wheel lock, Dynamo front hub to power the front and rear generator light. * 28" wheels, fully enclosed chain-case and skirt guard, 55cm frame, flat pedals, rear rack, frame pump, and awesome Dutch style as seen in the Dutch bike shop sticker on the rear fender. Not many of these around AT ALL! For someone 5'8" and up. Really cool!

I know! I'm torn between going to check it out right after I'm off work or driving 45 min to Selkirk to a Concorde of unknown repute. Too many choices! Too little cash!

56cm Rivendell Sam Hillborne frameset + parts - $1300 (Los Angeles)
https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/bik/1984930063.html

This was Riv's demo bike; someone bought it and put another 200 miles on it, also adding custom lowrider braze ons to the fork. He went towards the adventure touring model by buying a Salsa Fargo; this wonderful frame is left in his wake.
Price includes Nitto stem and seatpost, nice silver aluminum headset, cantilever brakes, and a 175mm Sugino Japanese made triple crank with rings and a sealed bearing bottom bracket, 1980s vintage but near to new. Beautiful green (celery) and gold paint with panels! Headbadge! Waterford's wonderful craftmanship, a lineal descendent of Schwinn Paramount before Schwinn became an empty name owned by a Chinese holding company!

A nice bike and frame; good for everything but super loaded touring. Clearance for fat tires; great geometry; beautiful paint and lug work (there are 2 paint scratches that have been touched up--these date from the months spent as Rivendell's demo frameset; the ability to get those bars high, high, high; and I'll help you build it if you need help, at lower prices than any bike shop, and with equal or greater skill. Send a phone number.

Bottecchia ADR Replica Neon yellow/ Purple, 700c wheels, 57CM purchased 8/9/90 from Gamaches Cyclery for #1300.00. It's condition is extremely close to the day I bought it. I used it maybe 3 weeks at most and been in storage since. Really super bike. Some say I am too high on price and some say I am too low. Willing to talk about a reasonable number.

Bianchi Limited with full Shimano Tricolor 600 Indexed Group - $400 (Quincy)

Date: 2010-10-02, 1:42PM EDT
Reply to: sale-cv9du-1985280624@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This 1988 or 1989 Bianchi Limited is equipped with a full Shimano Tricolor 600 (the old Ultegra) 7 speed group with indexed (with an option for friction) downtube shifting. The brake calipers, brake levers (aero), crankset, shifters, and derailleurs are all 600. Modolo stem and bars. Brand new front tire. White San Marco leather saddle. Brand new celeste bar tape. Bike has just had a tune up and everything works perfectly. The frame itself is made from Tange Chromoly steel and is very light for its vintage. Top tube measures 57cm c-t-c and the seat tube measures 59cm c-t-t.

This 7 speed groupset can be upgraded to brifters by simply installing Shimano 600 8 speed STIs.

This frame is around 52cm and will include the flat spoke 24"tubular wheel, old and unused sewup, TTT bars and stem and brake levers , seat post and new Selle San Marco seat and the 600 rear derailer. Not the rear wheel or crank parts or thumb shifters. I have had the bike for many years and it has been my wall art. Best Offer
