Quad-butted Valite - a nice light frame. Some surface issues - bubbling paint on driveside chainstay and rust around the rear brake housing guides on the top tube. Great candidate for a fixie build up. If I get full price, I'd be happy to work with you on parts - headset, bottom bracket, crank, seatpost and seat, etc. I have a Surly / Mavic Open Sport fixed free wheelset that could be part of a deal as well.

For you Bianchi lovers...lots of Italian parts too...I'm local and can facilitate if needed

56cm, Mid 80's Bianchi Nuovo Alloro - $250 (Boulder, CO)

We were cleaning out a friend's shed and found this hidden behind a bunch of other stuff. It appears to be a mid 80's Bianchi Nuovo Alloro with Mavic wheels, Campy drivetrain and Modolo brakes, complete with leather hoods. From what I can tell, the blue handlebar tape is original, as is the suede seat. The seat tube measures 56 cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the center of the top tube. The frame is Italian made and painted the classic Celeste Green.

I cleaned it up and ran it through the gears, and it shifts fine. The tires are shot and one of the rear spokes is broken. Otherwise, it looks ready to ride.

I've found a couple of these on e-bay that sold for more than $500, so I think the price is fair considering the repairs it needs.

Thanks for looking.

Obviously this guy is willing to deal (and ship). And lucky us, this is "by far the best Bridgestone for sale on craigslist or ebay anywhere in the US" as he started at $1,000. However, I do believe with a thorough cleaning, degreasing and pull-apart and rebuild, this badboy could shine like justice in the spring.

=================================

Price Reduced Again: 1993 Bridgestone RB-1, 8-Speed - $850 (NE/Irvington)

Click the email link above, or call 503-314-8040 (leave a message if I'm unable to answer).
More and larger photos below

There is another listing for a stolen bike of the same year/model/color--and mine is not it I have documentation of my purchase from the original owner several months ago.

My sincere apologies for not wiping the bike down before taking photos. I'll wipe it and re-take the photos as soon as I can.

The Bridgestone you see here is by far the best Bridgestone for sale on craigslist or ebay anywhere in the US right now--and there are precious few. It's near-perfect. Light as a feather, silent running and creamy smooth. I am selling it now because it was an impulse buy this summer, and I don't really need it. I'd prefer if the bike remained in Portland, so I'm trying here locally first on craigslist. If it doesn't sell here, I'll take it to a wider audience on eBay with a reserve of $950.

See the photos--there is some rash on both sides of the head tube. A little rash on the rear dérailleur. A hairline crack in the plastic on top of the right shifter. Otherwise, this bike is incredible. Near-flawless paint--virtually not a ding, dent or scratch. Imperfections you see in the photos are dirt, not dings. I'll wipe it down with a dry cloth and re-shoot some of the photos. I rode it in the Portland Century this August, and was approached by six different strangers who couldn't resist commenting on the bike.

The story :: I bought the bike this summer from a former racer who had hung it up in his garage 16 years ago. His sponsor gave him this bike (new) mid-season in 1994 to replace his broken Merckx. He raced on it for the remainder of the season, then quit racing to pursue his advanced degrees and never rode it again.

Full Shimano Ultegra (600 tri-color) group. Specs are per the original stock, as shown in the catalog at this link. 57.5 cm frame. Be sure to notice the difference in the catalog specs between the 7-speed and 8-speed models. The only non-stock items are as follows :

- Right shifter is Shimano 105 of the same 1993-era, left is still the original Ultegra.
- Rear rim was replaced with a Mavic MA 2 Argent (still on the Ultegra hub), and that's GOOD, because the original Ritchey Vantage Road rims are infamous for the rear wheel developing cracks around the spokes. Still has the stock Ritchey front rim.
- Bar tape and tires, of course. I installed those new in August and have ridden only 75 miles since.
- Saddle is currently a Selle Italia stitched baby.

I **WILL** ship the bike, but only after I receive payment. I suggest having a friend or associate in Portland (Facebook should make this easy) make the payment for you by meeting me at the bank with the money; your friend inspects the bike, pays me, and then takes the bike and ships it to you. Pre-buy inspection is your last chance to change your mind. No friends in Portland? Ask a Portland bike shop if they'll do this for you in exchange for a fee.

This is a funny one. Schwinn Super Sport $20
https://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/bik/2043689305.html

Project bike I just never got around to finishing... Has wheels, crank, saddle, seat post, frame 56 cm (duh), fork, handlebars, front break, ****ty tires... Needs some love to be made into a perfect commuter.. Frame is mostly blue but someone stripped the paint off some of it so it's yellow in some areas. Really just trying to get rid of it. I keep posting it because most of my sales fall through.

I'll remove this post when the bike is sold.. Just please someone take it!

TRIVIA: We sold several brands of bicycles over the period from the sixties to the nineties. Some of these manuals cover the first mountain bicycles sold East of the Rockies. These are manuals never picked up. They make great reading and serve to remind you of all sorts of little adjustment stuff. FREE. WE WILL NOT SHIP.

- GT - Multi speed road
- Iron Horse - Mountain
- Ross BMX Copyright 1988
- Ross Hi-Tech Copyright 1988
- GT Pacific Mountain
- Nishki Multi Speed and Coaster Copyright 1978
- Raleigh - Several models from 80s, some from 90s.

Some of this material is available "online" as you know but some of us LIKE THE BOOK BETTER.

Woodrup frame, 24", Classic, handmade in Leeds, England. Lite weight. 10 speed. Custom built w/ Shimano crank, Campi gears, Belgium 1.25" rims. Rear rack. Good tires, ready to ride. Well taken care of... and it's "Lucky". Frame and components cost $775.00 in 1978. Would cost $1,700 to match today. $145.00 Curt @ 303-xxx-xxxx.
Price has been edited up to $300 now. Maybe it was a deal at $145.

I have enjoyed riding this bike but I have a Trek that I ride now.
I had Richardson Bike Mart put on a Continental and give it a once over.
It is a good mid-level rider and smooth ride.
I am an enthusiast but not a pro by any means.
The bike is all stock (Shimano).
If you know bikes (and this is a good one) and have questions, let me know and I will get the answer.

Thanks.
