Ugh. At first I thought it was at least cycle-related images -- Major Taylor, Eddy, etc. But it's money, 'cause that's what's cool to the urban "fixie" yobs. Reminds me of when the skinheads started wearing Burberry. Sad.

There's a saddle I wouldn't mind leaning against a rough wall.

Again...

...and again...

...and again.

ok guys. We've established that we don't like it, but there's no need to make derogatory statements about people who might happen to like it.

What is that thing? I don't recognize it, and the most I can make out (probably incorrectly) is "Brooks Ladar Standard, B.178."

EDIT: Brooks Ladies' Standard, B.17S. Sure looks different from a B.17.

If it didn't have that kooky stamping on it (it looks as if it belongs on a Lowrider),and if it didn't cost that much, I'd snap one up for my white Raleigh USA Competition in a heartbeat.

I could live with that - the stamping won't show when I'm riding and it'd look a treat on my Viner - but the price is just too high, so the white Iscaselle is going to have to stay!

I nearly wet myself the same evening I posted that comment when I saw this B.15 pop up on Craigslist for $55:

I thought I was lucky - until the seller told me that they had simply dyed it themselves.

Should have realized that the Swallow and white Pro have been the only white Brooks saddles produced to date. Not to mention the fact that it has a '70s-era badge on it.

Let me add my blue one to the mix:

I don't mind the stamp in the top and fortunately I was able to snag mine for the price of a ordinary small rivet Professional. The current price for the ones I see listed on ebay and elsewhere are double + what I paid for mine.

Mrs. PB gave me the green B-17 Special for Christmas for my Cannondale hybrid. I still need to mount it and take some pictures. Possibly later today.

I was wondering about that and slightly tempted to call about it, but I got got some fresh air and felt better Judging by the matching headlight in the background, there is at least one less kitten in the world today...
