Has Sierra Club seen this, hhahahahaha! That picture is priceless. That had to come with some screamin involved.

first mtb ride of the season.
it appears the trails are still a little too muddy in some sections.

Ride/run with the spousal unit yesterday.

Off to here today. Then riding again tomorrow before work. Taking a pass on the crowded race weekend at Diablo, and will go break in my season pass next weekend.

While chewing the fat at the top of the hill on our weekly group ride yesterday, three really young guys and one not quite middle aged guy come crashing through the woods down a fence line, not one of which is wearing a helmet or pads. After the usual greetings, hopped up on adrenaline and testosterone, they invite us to bomb straight down what used to be a service road rather than taking the less direct trails to the bottom. We politely declined.

I found some awesome trails near my house! They're really loosely put together, designed for foot use. I'm gonna work on cleaning them up a bit. They're really hilly, its all either up or down hill. On the last stretch I hit 22 mph, which is ridiculous offroad (for me anyway)

Great pictures and video. Were those donuts Boston Creme?

Scrublover, are you riding a 26 or 29er?

Finally getting around to posting some pics from a couple rides last week. Was vacationing in Park City, UT. Took the Blindside too but there was just too much snow left on the big hills so it stayed parked. Got in some very nice trail riding in the foothills, though. Most everything was clear except the north-facing slope on one knob I went around, where I encountered patches of snow here and there.

Up-valley:

Cross-valley:

Down-valley:

View to the North:

To the South from a ridge top:

Robert was in PC on vacation from California and was having a bit of trouble finding trailheads. Since I had kinda figured out my way around, I offered to 'guide' for a while an rode back up the trail I'd just ridden down.

Then he volunteered to take my homely mug.

Panorama fron the top of that knob. Deer Valley on the left; Park City Mountain on the right:

Got in a nice urban ride yesterday, I might post up some video later if I get the time (but I probably won't). Great ride, until I pulled a manual going fairly fast, got distracted, looked to one side, lost balance, and fell. In front of a friend of mine and her boy friend. I guess it scared the hell out of them, but I was fine, not even a scratch. Super bruised ego though.

Last of 5 weekend rides on the western slope. This one is out of Glenwood called Boy Scout Trail. LINK. The video is from a Go Pro
Hero HD. The steeps start around 3:28 with a cool shot of the cross slope at about 4:30.
